West Australian Reptile Park has created this privacy statement to demonstrate its firm commitment to the protection of privacy and personal information of its customers. Any personal information provided to the Park via its' website will only be disclosed in accordance with this policy. By using the website and its related resources, you consent to the terms and conditions and the collection, use and disclosures as provided in this statement.
Information Which May Be Collected
IP addresses
The Park may collect and use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with its server and to administer its website. IP address is a number allocated to your computer by your Internet Service Provider once you commence service with them. The Park may use your IP address to gather broad demographic information. This means that each time you visit the West Australian Reptile Park’s website your IP address is recorded to the Park’s server and non-personal information such as your domain name registry and your general location is collected. The data collected is considered confidential.
Cookies
Cookies are small script placed on your hard drive during your visit to the Park’s website. The browser stores the message in a text file. This is sent back to the server each time the customer’s browser requests a page from the server. The aggregate data generated by cookies may be used only for the purpose of improving the Park’s website and its site-related services for its customers. The data compiled through cookies is considered confidential.
How to manage cookies
You can periodically remove the cookies file on your machine. However, if you disallow cookies, you may disable access to advanced functionality on the Park’s website.
To manage and delete cookies in Internet Explorer go to the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.

- Click on the General tab, and under Browsing history, click Setting;
- Click the View Files button;
- Click the Name column heading to sort all the files alphabetically, and then scroll down until you see files that begin with the prefix Cookies. All cookies will have that prefix, and they usually contain the name of the website that created the cookie.
In Mozilla Firefox: You can tell Firefox to delete all cookies when you close the browser.
- Go to the Tools menu;
- Select Options;
- Open the Privacy panel;
- Go to the Cookies panel;
- Check or uncheck Accept cookies from site, and select your preferences from the menu.
If you use the Park's online form your email address and any other personal information you provide will be maintained on a mailing list. The Park may use the email address to send out information bulletins. The Park will not disclose your personal information to another source for the purpose of marketing.
