MULGA SNAKE - KING BROWN

Habitat and Distribution
Found in a variety of habitats across Australia (except southern coastal regions).
About the animal:
- A large snake that can grow up to 3m long, the average is about 1.5m;
- Colour varies from pale brown to almost black, The belly is cream to yellow;
- Can be encountered both day and night;
- If provoked it may become defensive, flattening the forebody in a striking stance;
- Oviparous (lays eggs).

King Brown feeds on small mammals and reptiles including snakes.
